HSE:
Demonstrates personal commitment and knowledge of the Company HSE Policy by maintaining awareness and ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory and company standards.
Continuous verification and implementation of safety procedures and rules related to specific tasks such as material handling, transit, temporary storage (buffer zones) and disposal.
Conducts, toolbox talks, safety greenlights, trains workers on safe and environmentally friendly work practices, and methods.
Verifies conformity of all lifting gears (inbound/outbound) in strict compliance with Affiliate’s LMS (Lifting Management System).
Ensure hazardous materials and waste are managed in a safe and compliant manner in accordance with company waste and chemical management plans and local regulations.
Incorrect or unsafe conditions at the workplace are immediately stopped, reported (observation cards) and corrected.
Understands and perform drills as per Site Specific Oil Response Plan due to potential discharge during bunkering operations (fuel, dry or wet bulk) and leads Man overboard (MOB) drills in coordination with KPF and Marine Department.
Participates in Permit to Work meetings as Performing Authority.
Promotes the waste management “5 R principles” of hierarchy, i.e.: Reduce, Recover, Reuse, Recycle, and Residue disposal.
Organization:
Manages more than fifteen (15) Contractor positions.
Ensures that an effective working schedule and handovers are carried out at shift change.
Operational:
Liaises with vessel Masters to ensure safe and efficient loading/unloading activities for both upper deck and bunkering cargoes.
Manages berthing, loading and backloading of vessels.
Coordinates Logistics appliances and equipment to ensure safe delivery to end users.
Informs KPF Shipping, Security and Planning to fine tune planning of berthing activities at TEPSR dedicated berths and ad-hoc berth.
Liaises with various KPF entities to maintain the vessel lookahead planning up to date.
Completes all required paperwork (Manifests on Kabal, MSDS’s, delivery notes, DG declarations, Certificates of Conformance and/or any technical information, etc.) for vessels loadouts.
Ensures accurate record-keeping of all material movements and ensures timely recordings.
Coordinates and liaises for the provision of MAS Pilotage services; communicates updated plans and facilitates embarkation and disembarkation of MAS personnel at the quay/jetty/wharf side.
Allocate competent resources (riggers, banksmen, stevedores) and verify equipment readiness.
Ensures packaging, securing, and sea-fastening as per IMDG/IMO and client shipping instructions.
Ensures proper transfer of received material to warehouse team for stock materials and end users, i.e., Service Companies for non-stock materials.
Leads pre-loadout meetings and post-operations reviews to resolve issues and capture lessons learned.
Methods:
User of Kabal (ex Wellit) Logistics management system for cargo package preparation, vessel manifests, CCU tracking and loadout request preparation.
Operate ERP/MM system (SAP MM): Purchase Request (RV & NB) creation for Logistics Department.
Willingly and openly, shares good practices.
Prepares KPI’s for the quay/jetty/wharf activities and space utilization (buffer zones).
Contractors’ Management:
Oversees Contractors’ compliance with approved procedures.
Ensures, in cooperation with Contractor, maintenance of the quay/jetty/wharf superstructure, loading points for bulk transfers.
Supervises, evaluates, coaches and trains employees assigned to the quay/jetty/wharf.
