Job Description
Prepare along with Contract and Procurement (C&P) key documents for construction projects, including preparation of tender documentation, technical evaluation of bids, recommendation of contract awards, presentation to management and contract committees
Following issuing of the contracts, manage and supervise the execution of the construction contracts including tracking of expenditure.
Liaise with construction contractor to ensure timely site mobilization of personnel and equipment (follow-up on project documentation and required mobilization activities)
Oversee and supervise day-to-day operations of contractors, ensuring adherence to approved specifications, standards and procedures.
Organize, perform and record a full audit of pre-site conditions with involved contractor(s), (site conditions report with photographic documentation)
Maintain a good understanding of all architectural drawings, structural drawings and all associated specifications.
Attend Contractor(s) site meetings and Toolbox talks, overview of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) site conditions
Monitor site personnel for adherence of safety procedures ensure that the project safety standards are always carried out, report all incidents to HSE representative
Ensure that the project is executed in compliance with all local and National regulations
Report to Social Performance Lead on all requests for change to scope of work, ensure traceability of all RFCs
Developing a good understanding of all project stakeholders around the construction areas, required engagements, and required engagement frequencies
Keep construction teams updated on relevant community issues and highlight potential community related risks to Project Site Representative and relevant contractors
Organizing engagements with stakeholders according to construction activity requirements and ensure stakeholders are fully aware of when construction teams will start working
Collecting questions and concerns from stakeholders in relation to construction activities and provide timely responses.
Maintaining up to date register and record of all stakeholder concerns, perceptions, questions and any other stakeholder feedback relating to construction activities and ensure this information is captured in the Borealis tool.
To carry out any other duties that may be reasonably required in the supervision of Contractors within the construction scope of work
