Job Description

The Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing projects from contract award through final completion and close-out.

  • Developing and implementing project execution plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and mobilization strategies.

  • Coordinating engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, QA/QC, HSE, logistics, and commissioning activities.

  • Managing multidisciplinary project teams, including supervisors, engineers, planners, QA/QC personnel, HSE personnel, construction crews, subcontractors, and support functions.

  • Ensuring all activities are executed safely and in accordance with CCC Group HSE requirements, client requirements, applicable legislation, and industry standards.

  • Monitoring project schedule, productivity, manpower utilization, equipment utilization, costs, commitments, forecasts, and overall financial performance.

  • Maintaining responsibility for project cost control and protecting the planned project margin.

  • Identifying potential schedule delays, cost overruns, technical issues, contractual risks, and operational constraints and implementing appropriate corrective actions.

  • Reviewing project scope, specifications, drawings, contracts, purchase orders, and other technical and commercial documentation.

  • Managing scope changes, variations, additional works, and change orders in coordination with the client and CCC Group management.

  • Ensuring additional work is properly identified, documented, priced, approved, and incorporated into project forecasts.

  • Conducting regular project progress meetings and preparing accurate internal and client-facing progress reports.

  • Coordinating procurement and logistics requirements to ensure materials, equipment, tools, and subcontracted services are available according to the project schedule.

  • Ensuring appropriate quality planning, inspection, testing, documentation, and turnover requirements are implemented.

  • Maintaining effective communication with clients and developing professional working relationships with key project stakeholders.

  • Supporting resolution of technical, contractual, commercial, HSE, quality, and operational issues.

  • Ensuring project documentation, as-built information, quality records, completion dossiers, and other contractual deliverables are properly completed.

  • Leading project close-out, including final documentation, commercial reconciliation, lessons learned, and client handover.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project-management certification.

  • Experience executing projects for Oil & Gas, energy, mining, or industrial clients.

  • Experience with mechanical, piping, structural steel, fabrication, equipment installation, E&I, commissioning, or multidisciplinary construction scopes.

  • Experience managing projects under international engineering and construction standards.

  • Experience with project cost forecasting, earned progress, productivity measurement, and change management.

  • Previous experience working in Suriname or the wider Caribbean region.
