Job Description
HSE:
Demonstrates personal commitment and knowledge of the Company HSE Policy by maintaining awareness and ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory and company standards.
Continuous verification and implementation of safety procedures and rules related to specific tasks such as material handling, transit, temporary storage (buffer zones) and disposal.
Conducts, toolbox talks, safety greenlights, trains workers on safe and environmentally friendly work practices, and methods.
Verifies conformity of all lifting gears (inbound/outbound) in strict compliance with Affiliate’s LMS (Lifting Management System).
Ensure hazardous materials and waste are managed in a safe and compliant manner in accordance with company waste and chemical management plans and local regulations.
Incorrect or unsafe conditions at the workplace are immediately stopped, reported (observation cards) and corrected.
Participates in Permit to Work meetings as Performing Authority.
Promotes the waste management “5 R principles” of hierarchy, i.e.: Reduce, Recover, Reuse, Recycle, and Residue disposal.
Organization:
Manages more than ten (10) Contractor positions.
Ensures that an effective working schedule and handovers are carried out at shift change.
Operational:
Plans and delivers Logistics appliances and equipment to ensure safe delivery to end users.
Guarantees that Contractor equipment and lifting appliances are inspected, certified and with maintenance schedules up to date and as per manufacturer recommendations.
Maintains operator’s database that contains information about required training, and licenses required to safely operate equipment.
Follows up preventive and reactive maintenance of all equipment allocated to the base.
Allocate competent resources (operators, drivers) and verify equipment readiness.
Drives sustainability practices i.e., fuel consumption tips and techniques and tracks performance.
Ensures proper transfer of received material to warehouse team for stock materials and end users, i.e., Service Companies for non-stock materials.
Participates in pre-loadout meetings and post-operations reviews to resolve issues and capture lessons learned.
Keep traceability of cargo and CCU (Cargo Carrying Units) movements in Kabal.
Assists with custom clearance processes and documentation.
Ensures all materials are correctly containerized, labelled, and secured for loadout and international transit.
Laises with Yard and Jetty crews to ensure material preparation and readiness to meet loadout deadlines.
Conducts routine inspections of lifting gear, and cargo handling areas, recording and closing out actions.
Methods:
Knowledge and trained on the usage of Kabal (ex Wellit) Logistics management system for cargo package preparation, vessel manifests, CCU tracking and loadout request preparation.
Willingly and openly, shares good practices.
Prepares KPI’s for the logistics activities.
Contractors’ Management:
Oversees Contractors’ compliance with approved procedures.
Ensures, in cooperation with Contractor, maintenance of the logistics means allocated to TEPSR.
Supervises, evaluates, coaches and trains personnel assigned to his/her team.
