Job Description
The Shop Mechanic is responsible for performing inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and overhauls on heavy equipment, trucks, generators, air compressors, welding machines, and other support assets. The position requires strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems, ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and operational readiness.
Requirements
Required Experience & Qualifications
Technical Diploma or Certificate in Equipment Maintenance, Diesel Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance.
Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems.
Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic systems, including air compressors and air-operated equipment.
Experience with diesel engines and heavy-duty mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
Valid driver's license.
