Job Description
The EHS Officer supports a project by assisting in the field and administration of EHS programs to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. You respect deadlines, are proactive and work autonomously. Conduct regular walk-through inspections of construction areas. Participate in employee EHS on-boarding program to include new hire mentoring assignments; develop emergency action plans. Participate in safety meetings with the client.Â

Requirements
Minimum a Technical Highschool Diploma (NATIN-AMTO) with knowledge and experience in the requested field. Â
Associate degree in occupational safety/health (Significant additional EHS experience may be considered in lieu of degree).Â
At least two years construction and/or industrial EHS experience is a plus.Â
Ability to research & comprehend government and client EHS regulations. Â
Ability to recognize hazardous situations & recommend corrective measures. Â
Ability to perform job safety analysis, conduct toolbox and safety meetings, and provide training on several safety subjects. Â
Proficiency with standard office software. Â
Good communication skills, both written and oral. Â
Fluent in the English language (Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing) is required. Â
Good interpersonal skills. Â
Willing and able to gain additional training, certification, education, and clearances as required.Â
Stress-resistant (able to work towards deadlines efficiently).Â
Proactive, able to take initiatives & flexible.Â
Strong communication & interpersonal skills to perform successfully in a fast-paced and client-oriented environment.Â
Strong organizational skills (able to successfully handle multiple tasks at the same time and to prioritize).
