The Safety Operations Engineer is a position that supports the Health and Safety Manager with various related topics. Responsibilities include:
Assist Health & Safety Manager with monitoring and application of appropriate HSE Management System for the control of HSE risks associated with activities with reference to Group referential, relevant regulations, codes and standards as well as best practices
Develop and assure quality process for the reporting of HSE performance for the affiliate including data definition, collation, quality control and analysis and reporting
Prepare, review and recommend reference documents such as plans, procedures and guidelines as part of the HSE MS
Support the implementation and promotion of the tools to develop the Affiliate Safety culture: Golden Rules, observation cards, Sites HSE management visits, HSE talks, newcomers HSE orientation/induction, etc.
Training: Ensure definition of HSE training plans and verify compliance of training delivered vs required. Ensure the training matrix is up to date and coordinate the deployment of SafePass
Reporting: Assist with HSE reporting for the affiliate in compliance with Company and EP requirements
Planning: Assist Health & Safety Manager to prepare and monitor the implementation of HSE action plan, aiming at continuous improvement of HSE performance
Emergency Response: Assist with the monitoring and updating of the Emergency Response Plan and other associated plans; oversee the preparation, execution, and follow-up of emergency exercises
Coordinate weekly Emergency Response roster and the Duty Officer rotations.
Contribute to the performance of operations in line with high HSE standards
Supports in the development of the TEEPSR HSE MS
Learn principles of One MAESTRO and help prepare affiliate for first oil
Gain knowledge of best practice standards
Monitor performance against key performance indicators.
