Knowledge:

A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, Trade qualification or experience in related field.
Several years of experience in project management, resource allocation, risk mitigation, health and safety protocols and industry standards.
Competent ability to interact, influence and resolve conflict with various stakeholders. competent experience in leading and developing teams.
Completion of a certified program of competence as a Millwright or Mechanical Tradesperson. Machinist, Welding to the equivalent of AWS or CWB welding certification.

Technical Skills:

Working knowledge of mining auxiliary equipment maintenance and including but not limited to, Cat, John Deere, pumping equipment HDPE pipe work. 
Minimum Trade Diploma - Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Diesel Mechanic
Minimum 5 years extensive experience working on earthmoving equipment in an Open Cast Mining Environment
Maintenance Planning experience will be an added advantage
Proven experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, e.g., SAP R3, JDE, Accpac, Sage
Valid driver’s license
